Olga Stefanis Nelson opened Designs by Olga for
business in April 1999.
After graduating from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in
1996 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Metals, Olga went on to
work for local jewelers in Chicago to learn how to succeed in the
jewelry industry.
Since the inception of her company, Olga has displayed her work in
several galleries in the city including Eclectic Junction on Damen and
A Unique Presence at Old Orchard Shopping Center. She has sold her
jewelry for the last four years at the Bucktown Arts Festival and was
featured in two Today's Chicago Woman articles in 1999, earning
her
numerous commissions and a reputation as an up and coming Chicago
designer.
Olga resides in Chicago with her husband, Tyrone, an art educator, and
their son.
